The Ardmore Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution(NSDAR or DAR), has been recognized on the NSDAR stage and chapter members have served in national and state positions. Honorary Chapter Regent Diane Hamill has served as a Vice President General, National Chair of Units Overseas committee, and is currently serving on the NSDAR Long Range Planning Commission 2019-2025. She has been recognized as “Volunteer Genealogist of the Year” and the following year she received the DAR Speakers Staff Outstanding Member award. She holds the title of Honorary Oklahoma State Regent DAR for life. Honorary Chapter Regent Nell Truitt has held the title of National Vice Chair South Central Division - VIS Committee and was chosen as the 2009 Oklahoma Outstanding Chapter Regent. She was elected State Recording Secretary 2010-2012. She has served as State Chair of the Volunteer Information Specialists and Commemorative Events committees. Honorary Chapter Regent Carole Martin received the 2010 Outstanding Genealogist in Oklahoma and South Central Division, trains other DAR members in research and genealogy, has been Oklahoma DAR chair of DAR School, and speaks to other groups about DAR.
Honorary Chapter Regent Royce Groeschel was given the title of Oklahoma Outstanding Chapter Regent 2016 for her dedication and creation of Constitution Week activities in local schools. Honorary Chapter Regent Dana Pruitt Boyd served as Regent 2016-2018, and was named the Outstanding Chapter Regent of Oklahoma in 2017 and as Kiamichi Country District Director 2018 - 2020. Members support the Ardmore Veteran's Center, where 175 residents are honored each month at birthday and bingo parties. Christmas cards with funds are gifts each December. Veteran women receive a zippered tote with feminine gifts for their birthdays by Service to Veterans chair, Lt. Col. Janet Skelton (Ret.), chapter member. Five veteran members have been honored for their military service by the chapter members.
